Tick Tock: Learn Your BMI NowBody Mass Index–otherwise known as your BMI–is a measure of your body fat based on a calculation of of your height and current weight.  Though the classifications have changed slightly as of late (making it harder to ignore the fact you’re officially over normal weight) the general interpretation is:

Normal Weight Range: 18.5 to 25

Overweight: 25 to 30

Obese: Over 30

Underweight: Below 18.5

According to this measure, Americans weigh in as the heaviest people on earth, with an estimated 66 million people (!) defined as overweight, and 60 million more (!) defined as obese.  Yes, it is shocking.  And clearly, there is something extremely suspect about our national diet. The High School Reunion Diet offers an easy to follow and swallow alternative based more on the far healthier ‘international” diet.  It’s achieved through tiny changes in daily lifestyle that quickly add up to a sea change in your health and the health of our nation.  Even if you aren’t designated as ‘overweight’ on the BMI scale, you will still benefit from the HSR Diet way of life, where plants are the glamour food of the new eating plan.  Get your head in the game by first by checking your BMI on the NIH scale, then learning your lessons in HSRD.
